We present seven homemade recipes to prepare your own natural masks with ingredients that help you nourish, soften and tone the skin, to cope with the fatigue of the first days of the week and to shine radiantly on the weekend.
Facial masks Monday: Oats
On Monday we need something really energetic and nutritious, so we will prepare a mask by grinding oats until it is pulverized. On Tuesday we are not as tired as on Monday, but there is still a good push for the long week. That’s why we resort to yogurt, a food that will hydrate our skin without leaving it greasy. Facial masks Wednesday: Clay
We are mid-week and it is a good time to thoroughly cleanse our skin, help eliminate toxins and impurities, and at the same time provide minerals.
So for this mask, we will use green clay, which we can get from any herbalist or parapharmacy.
Mix the green clay powder with warm water, adding it little by little, until you get a spreadable texture that does not drip easily. We apply it all over the face, avoiding the eye contour, and let it act until it dries about 20 or 30 minutes. Then rinse gently with warm water.
This mask will also help us to eliminate shine and excess fat. If we have dry skin, instead of mixing it with water we mix it with yogurt, and after applying the mask we will always hydrate the skin well with our usual cream or oil.
Facial masks Thursday: Lemon and honey
The weekend is coming and it is a good time to cleanse our skin of impurities, and for this nothing better than lemon, a great cleanser and purifier. In addition, honey will help us moisturize the skin and give it luminosity.
We will grate the skin of a lemon and mix it with honey. The texture will be a bit Pagosa, although we can help warm the honey a little to make it more liquid. We will apply the mixture and let it act for half an hour, then clarify.
Facial masks Friday: Cucumber
It finally arrived on Friday and we are ready to go, but the skin of our skin carries the fatigue of the whole week, so we will resort to the cucumber, which will refresh our skin, hydrate it in depth and restore its firmness.
To prepare this mask we will grate the cucumber and mix it with milk or with a vegetable rice drink. Since we will have a liquid texture, we will use a cotton disk to moisten it in the mixture and pass it through our skin, as if we were removing it. In parallel, we cut two slices of cucumber and put them on top of closed eyes. With this, we will also get back the vitality to our eyes.
We will lie down to rest twenty minutes at least. Next, we will wash our face well with water. We can also apply this mask before going to sleep, to eliminate the accumulated dirt during the day.
Facial masks Saturday: Avocado
On Saturday we have been able to rest and it is time to nourish our skin well so that it looks bright. To prepare it, mash half an avocado with a fork until you get a very homogeneous texture. Thanks to the fact that the avocado is rich in fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, we will not need any other ingredients. Apply directly to the face and let it act until we notice that it has dried, then rinse with water.
Facial masks Sunday: Lavender
On Sunday it’s time to relax the face, and we’ll do it simply by preparing an infusion of lavender or well- lavender-ed lavender. When it is warm we will use a cotton disc to moisten it and gently pass it all over the face. We will not need anything else for a restful sleep.
